Scrum is an Agile project management methodology involving a small team led by a Scrum master, whose main job is to remove all obstacles to getting work done. Work is done in short cycles called sprints, and the team meets daily to discuss current tasks and any roadblocks that need clearing.

Agile management focuses on collaboration between technical and business people to deliver a better product. If a company lacks collaboration between these two groups, it may end up with a product that’s not able to connect with customers. Agile also emphasises good design and technical excellence. It is also characterised by self-organising teams. This encourages employees to take ownership of their own work, which is essential for higher employee motivation.

Agile methodologies include agile project management, which emphasises a flexible and iterative approach to the creation of products. The approach prioritises the product backlog in manageable epics and allows teams to respond quickly to change. While traditional project management methods fix requirements to control cost and time, Agile is more flexible and responsive to changing requirements. Agile project management methodologies include Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, and Adaptive Project Framework.

Agile management in International Business
